Friday Finds - Birds of Winter

Living in Vermont, sometimes in the middle of winter, when you are outside, it is completely quiet.  And you think all of the birds must be gone for the season.  And then you get a warmer day, like we had today, and suddenly all of these birds are out and and about and making beautiful sounds!  I've enjoyed seeing and hearing the birds the past few days, so I decided to find some bird-themed items.

This lovely bird is part of a set of Springtime Handmade Square Envelopes from Upcycle, Recycle, Reuse.  They are upcycled from magazines.  They are so pretty, you could put something plain, like a gift card, in them and really liven it up!

Sweet Avenue Jewelry has a stunning vintage inspired Soaring Bird pendant. The chain is included, so you'll be ready to soar as soon as you receive it.

If you prefer your pendants with a little more steampunk flair to them, check out this time to fly necklace from elle.paisley designs.  A 17" chain is included with this pendant.

Let's bring the birds inside with these whimsical 3 Hanging Bird Cages with 6 Birds Wall Sticker Decals from One Hip Sticker Chic.  You can get the birds in a wide selection of colors to match your decor. Check out her YouTube videos to see how easy these decals are to put up!

If you are having a baby, or know someone who is, this fun Vintage Fabric Cloud Nursery Mobile with Knitted Birds Grass Green, Black & White Zebra from Cozy Noggin would make a great baby shower gift!

For the adults, how about a Flying Geese Mobile?  Courtney Reckord made this from recycled materials and hand painted each goose.

Monkey Junction offers this adorable Bird and Worm Puppet Set.  These fun little finger puppets will make a great addition to your child's play time!

I'm sure the cats are happy to see the birds again, too!  However, the cats on these cute Four Reversable Cat Print Fabric Coasters from All About Cats don't seem too sure!

Even when the birds aren't around, you can still look to your window (or wherever you hang this) to find one!  Roots of Glass created this colorful Stained Glass Bird.

I love the batik fabric By a Thread used to create this Birds in Trees Quilted Eyeglass case.  The lovely, soft batting is made from recycled plastic bottles, as well.

Finally, these unique Black Bird Earrings from Hickory Squirrel will go with so many of your outfits!  Black is such a popular color, you'll always have something to match these.

Put out some bird seed and celebrate our feathered friends!
