Friday Finds: Eco-Vermont

Vermont is a place where we are often reminded of our connection to the earth.  Farms and wildlife abound.  Beautiful mountains and streams are everywhere.  Old yankees to young hippies - we all love the land.  Here are some items, from the Made in Vermont Etsy Street Team, that reflect that feeling.  Enjoy!

Farm Fresh Rustic Lavender Calendula Soap by oldgatesfarm

I start this cold-processed soap with an infusion of lavender and homegrown calendula. Farm fresh.
This is an old-fashioned, cold-processed soap made in small 3 lb batches...I start with simple pure ingredients like olive oil and organic beeswax. It cures for at least 4 weeks, but upwards of several months.

This is a very special pair of Squirrel "Carved" earrings. Each earring has two unique squirrel designed nut shells, and the earring also features a brass Squirrel charm. Above each Hickory nut rests colorful glass beads in Purple, Blue and Green. Earrings are wrapped in pure copper wire.

This is a lined crocheted hand bag made of plastic bags. The lining is from material I found at a thrift shop. It would fit nicely in a purse or stand alone on its own. It's large enough to carry credit cards and a few bucks, and thin enough to fit in your back pocket. I found the button in an old cookie tin where all misfit buttons went in my grandma's house.

Beaded Hemp Wrap Bracelet by SimplyHemp

A funky handmade hemp bracelet!

This piece is handmade with teal hemp. It is 16.5 inches long, with wooden beads throughout. It fits around my 6 inch wrist twice. You can wear it as a bracelet, anklet, or necklace!

where my father lives in florida there are these oak trees with the most expansive canopies that just seem to go on forever and envelope you in their abundance.
